Various roads in the area have been affected by flash flooding, pot holes and falling debris. Roads currently closed due to flooding include: Cobden-Lavers Hill Road, Chapple Vale; Great Ocean Road, Hordern Vale at Calder River (water over bridge) - diversions at Lavers Hill and Apollo Bay; Timboon Colac Road, Simpson - closed in both directions between Cobden Port Campbell Road and Lavers Hill Road; Woolsthorpe-Heywood Road, near Back Creek - between Nagorckaf Road and Tarrone Road. Updated 10.43am - Road closed in both directions between Port Campbell and 7km south of Cobden due to flooding. VicRoads are on site managing traffic at the flood sites. Alternative routes should be used where possible. The road should be reopened this afternoon once the flood waters subside and provided no other large fronts pass over the area. Drivers are asked to be extra careful when driving on the roads in the area. Roads may be slippery so drivers should slow down, drive according to the conditions and leave a greater distance between their own car and the one in front.
