Traffic Alert
Police have closed City Rd Southbank from Ferrars St to Cecil St due to a truck colliding with the rail bridge and rolling over. MFB are dealing with the trucks load. Outbound traffic between Cecil Street and Ferrars Street has been repoened and is being contra-flowed onto the inbound carriageway of City Road.
Road is still closed inbound. Traffic is being diverted onto Ferrars Street until the road is reopened.
Repair works are expected to continue until late in the afternoon.
Traffic controllers are on site controlling outbound contra-flow on City Road and redirecting inbound traffic at Ferrars Street.
Drivers are advised to expect heavy delays in the area and to use alternative routes if possible.
