Traffic Alert
VicRoads is asking drivers to be cautious when travelling on roads as heavy rain and storms are forecast tonight across the state. As a result, roads may be slippery so drivers should slow down and drive according to the conditions. Headlights should be used if visibility is impaired and drivers should leave a greater distance between their own car and the one in front. Flash flooding can often be sudden and severe, resulting in dangerous driving conditions. VicRoads reminds drivers to be careful when driving in locations where recent flash flooding has damaged or left water across roads. If you cannot access the internet or are concerned about travelling on roads not listed on the site, contact the VicRoads Traffic Management Centre on 13 11 70 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). When driving, local radio reports are the best source of road condition information.9/11/2011 6:19 PM Until 10/11/2011 8:00 AM
