UPDATE, 11.30am: Ringwood Bypass re-opened for citybound traffic with detours in place after an earlier incident.
The EastLink entry ramp to the Melba Tunnel from the Ringwood Bypass remains closed.
The Ringwood Bypass has re-opened for city-bound traffic but is being diverted to Maroondah Highway to travel westbound to Springvale Road, then north-bound back to the Eastern Freeway.
Traffic wanting to go southbound on EastLink via the Ringwood Bypass is unaffected but delays are expected.
Both EastLink Tunnels remain open – however the Melba Tunnel is not accessible from the Ringwood Bypass.
The Melba Tunnel (city-bound) remains accessible from EastLink and the Maroondah Highway entry ramp.
