Traffic Alert
Left-hand still lane blocked outbound between Grieve Parade and the Western Ring Road exit ramp due to emergency roadworks.
The works are expected to finish at approximately 4.00pm.
The speed limit of the remaining open lanes has been reduced to 60km/h to ensure the safety of workers on site.
Heavy delays are expected for drivers travelling on the West Gate Freeway outbound during this afternoon's peak hour period. Extra time should be allowed if using this route.

UPDATE: All lanes now open outbound between Grieve Parade and the Western Ring Road exit ramp after the earlier emergency roadworks
Traffic is still heavy from the top of the West Gate Bridge through to Grieve Parade.
Delays are easing quickly with all lanes now open and the speed restored to 100km/h.

Police and Emergency Services are on site. Tow services are on the way to site.
Traffic is slow through the area with lanes in both directions effected. The lanes are expected to remain blocked for at least the next hour.
