The Black Spur is closed between Dowd Road, Healesville and Narbethong due to severe weather conditions. Emergency services are on scene clearing the road. Detours are via Alexandra and Yea. Allow plenty of extra time.

Road Closed - Flood
The Goulburn Valley HIghway is closed in both directions just north of Molesworth due to water over the road. Northbound traffic is being diverted at Whanregarwen Road towards Alexandra. Southbound traffic is being diverted just after Yarck onto the Maroondah Highway towards Alexandra. Allow extra time using the detour. Do not drive through flood water.

Traffic Alert - Emergency Works
The Maroondah Highway closes through the ‘Black Spur’, between Healesville and Narbethong, for daily tree removal works daily from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Thursday, until early June. Detour using the Melba and Goulburn Valley highways through Yea and Alexandra.
This is a significant detour that could add more than an hour to the journey. The closure is necessary to remove an additional 29 unstable trees and prune another 12 trees.

Detour route on Melba and Goulburn Valley Highways via Yea and Alexandra could add more than an hour to the journey. Allow extra time for your journey. The closure is necessary for safety works on over 100 dangerous trees
