Road closed south of Nariel due to snow and fallen trees.
Workers are on site clearing the debris. An update on the status of the road closure will be provided as soon as it is available.
Drivers should remember that roads may be slippery so they should slow down, drive according to the conditions and leave a greater distance between their own car and the one in front.

UPDATE 26/08/10, 3.41pm: Road reopened to 4WD only south of Nariel after the earlier snow and fallen trees
Workers are still on site clearing the debris. The road is restricted to 4WD vehicles only at this stage.
Drivers are reminded that roads in the area may be slippery and drivers should slow down, drive according to the conditions and leave a greater distance between their own car and the one in front.
Drivers should also always carry snow chains when travelling through alpine areas.
