The southbound carriageway of the Hume Freeway is closed at the Violet Town interchange due to a serious collision. Police are directing traffic. Melbourne-bound traffic should use Murchison-Violet Town Road and Goulburn Valley Highway to return to the Hume freeway near Seymour. The closure is under the control of Victoria Police. The Hume Freeway will re-open once investigations are complete and it is safe to do
