Road Closed - Fire
Great Alpine Road remains closed between Engineers Road, Bruthen and Ensay due to fire activity in the area. A local detour is in place around the affected area via unsealed roads for emergency services and local traffic only. Follow the detour signs at Ash Range Road and Engineers Road. Please turn on your lights and drive slowly as the road may be busy. It is not suitable for trucks or caravans. Follow the direction of emergency services and avoid the area. See emergency.vic.gov.au

Great Alpine Road is closed from Engineers Road Bruthen and Ensay-Doctors Flat Rd Ensay South with reduced speed limits due to fire activity in the area as advised by Swifts Creek ICC. Access for residents and essential services with appropriate identification or permits.

The Great Alpine Road is closed betweeen Bruthen and Ensay to clear a substantial land-slip. Crews are on site. The road is expected to be closed until Monday 27 July.
