UPDATE, 5.44pm: All lanes closed northbound between Wellington Road and Ferntree Gully Road due to a police incident.
VicRoads Incident Response service and Emergency services are on site.
Northbound traffic is being diverted via Wellington Road.

VicRoads advises drivers travelling through the Alpine areas that many roads are closed or affected by snow or ice over the road.
The following roads have been closed for the snow season:
*Bogong High Plains Road - Falls Creek to Omeo Highway.
*Dargo High Plains Road, Hotham Heights.
*Donna Buang Road, between Pantons Gap and the Summit.
