Traffic Alert
UPDATE 26/08/10, 3.44pm: Road still closed between Mitta Mitta and Glen Wills due to snow and fallen trees.
Workers are currently on site clearing debris from the road. The road is expected to be reopened at some stage tonight. Update to follow.
Drivers are asked to be extra careful when driving on the roads. Visibility may be affected and headlights should be used.
Roads may be slippery and drivers should slow down, drive according to the conditions and leave a greater distance between their own car and the one in front.
Drivers should always carry snow chains when travelling through alpine areas.

UPDATE 26/08/10, 4.23pm: Omeo Highway, Mitta Mitta - Road still closed between Mitta Mitta and Glen Wills after the earlier heavy snow and fallen trees
Workers are still on site clearing debris and have advised that the road may be reopened later tonight. An update will be provided as soon as it is available.
Drivers should use alternative routes until further notice. For additional updates drivers can visit VicRoads Latest Traffic and Road Conditions website or phone 13 11 70 (24 hours, 7 days a week) before they start their journey.

Traffic Alert - Road Damage
Omeo Highway Mitta Mitta - one lane closed and speed reduction to 40km/h due to minor land slip restricting lane width.
Speed reduction will remain in place until repairs are completed.
