Road Closed - Vehicle Collision
Road closed for a stretch between Healesville and Narbethong, due to a collision. This incident and closure are under Victoria Police control. Please follow their direction consider delaying your journey. Allow extra time for the detour via the Melba Highway through Yea and Alexandra.

lanes closed northbound - Debris
The Black Spur (Maroondah Highway is closed to northbound traffic due to a tree down just south of Dom Dom Saddle. Southbound traffic is open. Crews are on site to remove the tree. The road expected to reopen by 12.30pm. Please be patient. A significant detour via the Melba and Goulburn Valley Highway is one alternative. Allow an extra 90 minutes.

Maroondah Highway is closed to all traffic between Healesville and Narbethong, as crews work to repair damage caused by severe weather. We hope to reopen the road by Wednesday evening.23/06/2021

The Maroondah Highway remains closed through the Black Spur between Narbethong and Healesville, following a collision and fallen tree near Fernshaw. Follow the direction of police. Detour using the Melba Highway through Yea, and the Goulburn Valley Highway to Alexandra. Allow an extra 90 minute travel time.

The Maroondah Highway closes through the ‘Black Spur’, between Healesville and Narbethong, for daily tree removal works daily from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Thursday, until early June. Detour using the Melba and Goulburn Valley highways through Yea and Alexandra.
This is a significant detour that could add more than an hour to the journey. The closure is necessary to remove an additional 29 unstable trees and prune another 12 trees.

Detour route on Melba and Goulburn Valley Highways via Yea and Alexandra could add more than an hour to the journey. Allow extra time for your journey. The closure is necessary for safety works on over 100 dangerous trees
