Road Closed - Emergency Works
Maroondah Highway/Black Spur CLOSES between Healesville and Narbethong, for tree removal works, Monday to Thursday,9.30am to 3.30pm until Thursday 30 April.
Detour route on Melba and Goulburn Valley Highways via Yea and Alexandra could add more than an hour to the journey. Allow extra time for your journey. The closure is necessary for safety works on over 100 dangerous trees

A large tree has fallen across the road. Emergency services are in attendance. The duration of the closure is unknown at this stage. Alternate route is via the Melba Hwy and Goulburn Valley Hwy.

The Black Spur is closed between Dowd Road, Healesville and Narbethong due to severe weather conditions. Emergency services are on scene clearing the road. Detours are via Alexandra and Yea. Allow plenty of extra time.

Road Closed - Vehicle Collision
The Maroondah Highway remains closed through the Black Spur between Narbethong and Healesville, following a collision and fallen tree near Fernshaw. Follow the direction of police. Detour using the Melba Highway through Yea, and the Goulburn Valley Highway to Alexandra. Allow an extra 90 minute travel time.

Traffic in both directions on the Maroondah Highway (Black Spur) between Healesville Road and Narbethong is under the direction of traffic management, as tree works continue. Please obey the reduced speed limit and prepare to stop.

Maroondah Highway (Black Spur) is currently closed both ways between Healesville and Narbethong for tree removal works.
The detour is via Alexandra and Yea using the Melba and Goulburn Valley Highways. Allow over an hour to use the diversion.
The road to re-open by 5pm.

Police have closed the Maroondah Hwy through the Black Spur due to a collision. Alternate route is via Yea along the Goulburn Valley and Melba Hwy.

The Black Spur is currently closed in both directions to retreive a truck involved in a collision just south of Dom Dom Saddle Picnic Area.
Some local access is available but all through traffic should divert via the Melba and Goulburn Valley highways through Yea and Alexandra.

Road Closed - Emergency Works
The Maroondah Highway (Black Spur) is currently closed until 5pm between Narbethong and Healesville for tree removal works. The highway will also close 24 and 29 October. The recommended detour route is via the Melba Highway to Yea, the Goulburn Valley Highway and Maroondah Highway to Alexandra, then down to Narbethong. Allow more than an hour.
