GREAT ALPINE ROAD approx. 10km before Hotham heights, 2 hay bails on the road, Drivers are advised to expect delays in the area.

Road Closed - Weather
UPDATE 5:00pm The Great Alpine Rd will remain closed tonight. Conditions will be reassessed on Monday morning. (Crews are still working to assist motorists who are currently stuck on the the road) The Great Alpine Rd between Hotham Heights and Omeo remains open. The road will be re-opened when it is safe to do so.

A Severe Weather Warning has been issued by the SES with wind speeds expected to be strong over the next few days and visibility variable. Heavy snowfalls expected over the coming days also. Snow chains must be carried. If you are heading to Mt Hotham and Dinner Plain, please check at @victraffic on Twitter or call Vic Roads Traffic Management on 13 11 70 before you travel.
