Detour - Fire
Access to Skenes Creek, Apollo Bay from Geelong. Birregurra-Forrest Rd (C119) to Forrest then the Apollo Bay-Forrest Rd (C119) 941The alternate route from Geelong is the Princes Hwy (A1) to Colac then the Colac-Lavers Hill Rd (C155) to Lavers Hill then the Great Ocean Rd (B100). This second option is an additional 60 kilometres on the normal access road but further away from fire activity..

The Go Marathon is on this weekend. The Great Ocean Road is CLOSED 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM on SUNDAY between Skenes Creek Rd and Bay St. Long delays of 15 minutes or more are expected. Please plan ahead and use and alternate route.
